The flower buds of the evergreen clove tree contain a high amount of Eugenol and Vanillin. The clove tree originates from the molucca islands. Cloves are often used as an ingredient for pastries, fruit dishes, preserved jams and many meat dishes. In indian dishes, cloves taste very well together with cardamom and cinnamom. Cloves are also an important ingredient in the popular Yogi Tea.
