Mata Mandir
Singh, Mata Mandir Singh, born in 1952, has practiced and taught Kundalini Yoga and Gatka for
decades. For many years, he
lived in Amsterdam where he worked as the owner of the Golden Temple Restaurant while pursuing his multifold
musical
activities. Today, he lives with his family in Espanola, New Mexico (USA).
Mata Mandir Singhs musical style is unique and one of a kind. His love and dedication for a multi-cultural
fusion shows
on almost all of his CDs by including artists which reach as far as the jazz musician Alain Eskinasi, the
professional singer
Julia Claire, or the incredible classical guitarist Michael Benedik. It is through this fusion
that Mata Mandir Singhs music
become rich in facets and carries a quality which is so diversified that you can listen to it over and over
again. With his
rhythmical calligraphy and his unique voice, Manta Mandir Singh infuses his music with a personal style which
can be
recognized throughout all of his music.
As talented and creative musician he was one of the first to publish professional recordings and making them
available
to a wide audience. He specialised on the Yoga of sound Naad Yoga and produced more than 25 CD's and tapes.
Many of his songs are real classics and have accompanied generations of Yoga-classes. They are Evergreens
which will
always be on top!
But Mata Mandir Singh doesn't take a rest on his former accomplishments and keeps on delighting us with
new
compositions and interpretations, for example the
Jap Ji Sahib or the powerful mantra
Hum Dum Har Har.
