Tahini is a sesame-paste made only of roasted sesame seeds. Tahin is wonderful as a delicious bread-spread or a topping for muelies, but is also often used as a refinement of dips such as oriental hummus, all sorts of sauces and exotic dishes.
Sesame seeds contains a high amount of calcium: 100 g sesame seeds contain 780 mg Calcium! Tahini sesame butter therefore is highly recommended if you need calcium, for example for women in menopause.
Our Tahini sesame paste contains sesame seeds only, no emulsifier - therefore it is natural that after some time a topping of nut-oil appears. Simply stir well before use.
