Similar to almonds, hazelnuts contain a lot of cell-protecting vitamin E. They have a high concentration of minerals as well as body-supporting bitter tannins and lecithin. Hazelnuts also have a high contents of mono-unsaturated fatty acids.
The hazelnuts for our almond paste are roasted which gives this hazelnut butter a wonderfully delicious taste, making it perfect as a bread-spread or ingredient for mueslis and all sorts of sauces.
Our hazelnut paste contains only hazelnuts, no emulsifier - therefore it is natural that after some time a topping of nut-oil appears. Simply stir well before use.
