Rise & Shine weaved a 2 year journey from conception to completion. It began life travelling from London to recording on the jurassic coast in Dorset UK, then migrating to San Francisco, where further layers, additions and musicianship were developed with recording artist Ram Dass Khalsa.

Rise & Shine is Siris 8th album and features the rising talent of her daughter Aloka Collister. Alokas soulful voice and talent, took her travelling, and singing live on stage with her mother, and recording on siris previous 7 albums. Both mother and daughter powerfully influenced by West Africa, invited the skill of Alokas Father, Afla Sackey to play percussion and Djembe rooted within his Ghanian lineage. Kadialy Kouyate the Kora player comes from the line of Kouyate Griot in Senegal, contributing his masterful melodies and rythym on this album.

Alokas deep, clear and resonant vocals harmonize perfectly with Siris dynamic vocal approach. Her voice delivers beautifully on several tracks, yet particularily featuring on "Echoes" a timeless piece, written whilst standing on the edge of irelands east coast, facing the isle of man. This moment in time was an ancestral inspiration.

Siri Sadhana's paternal and maternal lineage connect to these 2 islands. The depth and richness of this album was enhanced through the skill and experience of Jag, whose production and music career spans over 35 years, composing and producing for UNIVERSAL MUSIC and SONY MUSIC. He bought particular attention within his engineering specialism, honoring the meditative and sacred that developed from years of working in alternative and conscious music.
