Life is characterised by continuous change and phases. Every living being, humans, animals and plants, is subject to natural changes. Although we all develop individually, we all go through the same phases of life with the same issues, challenges and opportunities.
Each of these developmental or life phases produces specific dynamics that shape our personality. These changes affect the body, mind and character.

The ancient yogic knowledge about these phases of life functions like a compass that helps us to better understand ourselves and our fellow human beings: in the previous phase of life, in the transition from one phase of life to another, in the current phase, and in the phases that follow.

In addition to the widely known 7-year cycle, there are other cycles, such as 9-, 11- and 18-year cycles. The life cycle teaching, based on ancient knowledge as transmitted by Yogi Bhajan, is complemented by the orbits of the planets on which these cycles are based, chakra development, and the characteristics of the 10-body characteristics.

Knowing which phase of life I am currently in can help me to become more self-aware and navigate through life with confidence. It also helps me to better understand the processes and challenges of other people.
