Taken with honey, ginger tea is recognized as a home remedy for coughs and colds.
The zingiberene and gingerol content, fresh or dried ginger root, native from Asia, has been appreciated for millennia. Ginger is a warming spice that, according to Ayurveda, strength agni (digestive fire) without increasing Pitta (fire and water elements).
