Tongue scraper (tongue cleaner) for the Ayurvedic morning ritual
According to the teachings of Ayurveda, cleaning the tongue stimulates the digestive tract, strengthens the digestive fire and improves the sense of taste, because cleaning the tongue in the morning can reduce or remove the tongue coating that forms on the tongue mainly overnight and contains toxins and bacteria.
The 99.7% copper tongue cleaner
The use of metals has been appreciated by Ayurvedic doctors of ancient India for centuries.
The ancient Sanskrit texts prove that gemstones as well as certain metals can have positive influences on body, mind and soul. Especially copper is attributed an extraordinary significance in Ayurveda.
To clean the tongue, gently (but with enough pressure) pull the tongue scraper over the tongue every morning from as far back as possible to the very tip of the tongue to remove the coating that has formed. Then rinse your mouth thoroughly with water. A subsequent mouth rinse with herbs is also ideal (see product recommendation, below).
