The organic Sunflower oil is made of peeled, certified organic sunflower seeds in first cold pressing which ensures a preservation of its valuable components. The organic sunflower oil features a high level of mono- and poly-unsaturated fatty acids as well as of the vitamins A, E (Tocopherol) and Lecithin. With about 60 mg per 100 ml, the concentration of vitamin E is especially high in sunflower oil. Vitamin E is said to be a potent antioxidant – the recommended daily dose of vitamin E is covered with only 2 table spoons of sunflower oil!
Sunflower oil is a light and easily digestible edible oil, but is also being used for external use and treatments such as massages. Because of its mild and pleasing taste it can be used in various ways for any kind of foods such as salads and warm dishes. Because of its very high level of unsaturated fatty acids, sunflower oil should not be used for frying or any other form of cooking with high temperatures.
Matured Sunflower Oil has a softer density and has been “opened” – it is therefore ideal for external use, as it is very well absorbed by the skin.
