The rosemary name come from the Latin, meaning "Dew Marine". In ancient times, rosemary was already used by the Egyptians, Greeks and Romans both as sacred ingredient for fine dining than cure.
Rosemary contains various essential oils, such as Cineol, pinene, monoterpenes (borneol, limonene), camphor and flavin. Also contains rosemary Carnosic known for their antioxidant effect. As culinary herb, rosemary is popular in many countries. It gives a Mediterranean flavor various dishes, often used in meat dishes, but also excellent for vegetable dishes. It marries well with parsley, thyme and garlic.
