Qi Rattan is the duet of sensitive tabla player Amritpal Singh and his 'second half' as well in life as in music, his wife and gifted indian singer Jagdeep Kaur.

With their debut album Tarang - The Divine Flow, the two brillant musicians of Qi-Rattan give a refreshing revival to the Sadhana Mantras by adding a new dimension to the genre of Kundalini Mantra music: a perfect balance between traditional indian music and western folk music, with a charming indian flair that is both wonderful and unique.

With her beautiful, authentic and gently clear voice, Jagdeep Kaur invokes indian vocal patterns which reach to a charming high through her simultanous guitarplay on a 12-string western guitar – a combination that is truly unique and that we have never heard before! Amrit Pal's masterful Tablas set the right mixture of driving, yet gently relaxing beats to the chants, creating an enchanting symbiosis between softness and focus in the music – the perfect frame for the Sadhana meditations.

At the European Kundalini Yoga Festival, the two were the Newcomer-Tipp of the year! Their live performances and their beautiful, moving chants with their unforgettably charming indian flair remain in the heart for long – and their debut album Tarang a wonderful document of their musical skills.
