Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training for Couples
Experience your yoga process together with your partner
A regular Kundalini Yoga training according to the world association KRI for couples in any phase of life and constellation.
First Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training for Couples
Yoga is often perceived as rather feminine. But yoga is just as male! Yoga postures have something lofty, self-confident and liberating – they radiate royalty. In Kundalini Yoga, men learn strength, stability, purposefulness, balance and to remain calm in the storm. Manliness and Kundalini Yoga go well together!
So far, there has never been a yoga teacher training specifically for men since Kundalini Yoga started in the West in its modern form. So it's a good time to change that. As yoga-men, spouses, or life-partners, we usually have a lot of contact with women, because they usually dominate the yoga scene, yoga groups, clubs and contents ofyoga-trainings – and that's a good thing. Women interviewed about this training felt it was both a confirmation and a relief when men organize themselves in yoga groups, set their own impulses, nurture and develop their own path. This training is certified by KRI (Kundalini Yoga Research Institute).
Do the men want to be with each other?
In this Yoga Teacher Training for Men, we do not learn yoga that excludes women, but as men we share how Kundalini Yoga affects us and others. Thereby we share a very special experience, which is only possible in this constellation. We can develop a group consciousness that has a masculine imprint. This is something new and special, because it allows a male identification beyond previous role behaviors or classical "male fraternity".
Yoga for men – a special Yoga Experience
The training gives men a space to develop their potential that they may not find elsewhere. The yoga teacher training for men appeals to all those who would not readily opt for a yoga education. It addresses creative, inquisitive and courageous men who want to broaden their horizons. With a fresh, intensive project of this kind old structures can be questioned and finally dissolved.
The goal of this training – union or separation?
The goal is to promote a healthy and soothing male identity. Experience shows that a Yoga Teacher Training is particularly suitable for establishing group consciousness and network structures. It is great to nurture that and grow. To unite, you have to recognize yourself first. Otherwise, the connection will fail because there is no foundation. Men need male groups, male role models and male exchanges to feel themselves. Ideally, they find that in common yoga. Anyone who is anchored in himself, can then fully engage in a relationship (of whatever kind). In this sense, the Yoga Teacher training for Men is also a project for a sustainable connection between the sexes and people in general.
Teaching Kundalini Yoga – also in mixed yoga groups
Ideally, every yoga teacher should be able to teach men and women of all ages. Yoga has a positive effect on men and women alike. There are, however, certain differences that are more likely to emerge from experience. The participants in this training are taught by four male teachers, and on two of a total of 23 training days by two female trainers, and thus get different impulses on the way. This will lay the foundation how to teach regular mixed Kundalini Yoga classes.
Completing the training, a meeting will be held at the Yoga Center in Portugal. There, about 40 aspiring Yoga Teachers from all over Europe meet to practice and learn together. You will have the opportunity to try out yoga lessons in mixed groups. During the training there is also the opportunity to observe and learn in mixed yoga classes.
The Location: Ashram in Boizenburg
This place just outside Hamburg, Germany, is a real gem. We will be outdoors a lot and enjoy the special atmosphere of untouched nature at the former German-German border. We will have contact with the people in the small town Boizenburg. At the same time, the Ashram offers a very sheltered retreat space. This shift between openness and protection will allow a special group experience.
