The Kara is a special bracelet, handcrafted in Amritsar, Northern India. This Double-Kara is a set consisting of 2 Karas, each made of Brass and stainless steel. The combination of shimmering golden brass and fine steel creates a perfect harmony in this double-Kara. The brass part is the outer side, the steel is inside. The highly polished surface is achieved without the use of chemicals or chrome plating. This double Kara is hypo-allergenic, rust free and very stable, so it will still look like new even after years.

History and use of a Kara:
The Kara is originally a bracelet made of iron or steel and was first given by Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the 10th Sikh Master, in 1699 as one of the 5 K's of the Sikhs - a powerful protection and radiant symbol for the one who wears it.
