Dried Inca Berries taste like lemony raisins with a refreshing, sweet-sour aroma and a pleasantly intense sweetness. Enjoy it as a healthy snack straight out of your hand and you'll get a large portion of healthy nutrients – that’s how simple it can be! The organic Inca berries are, of course, also suitable for desserts, delicious berry smoothies, juices and cakes.
The gold-orange-colored Inca berries, also known as Physalis, originally come from Peru, where they also known as Aztec Berry or Peruvian Cherry and have been eaten for centuries as a basic everyday food. The climate conditions there are ideal for the small berries, as they require a lot of rain.
The organic Inca Berry is a real power fruit with a high protein and fiber content. It also contains beta carotene, a bunch of B-vitamins including B1, B2, B3, B6 and B12, vitamin C, the antioxidant flavonoid (vitamin P) and phosphorus - an elemental component and building block of bones and teeth which is involved in many processes of energy absorption and storage in the body. This gives phosphorus a central function in the energy metabolism.
