The Grammy-nominated Gyuoto Monks life - as His Holiness the Dalai Lama himself - in exile in Dharamsala in northern India and often accompany the spiritual leader of Tibet on his visits and lecture tours.
The Dalai Lama says about The Gyuto Monks: "The work that he Gyuto monks berform in the western world have my full support".

The Tibetan monks have long been on major international stages. Their main performances include the concert in the sold-out Royal Albert Hall in London, a number of concerts at New York's Carnegie Hall and at the Sydney Opera House. With the American rock band The Grateful Dead, they went on a tour in America and as part of the renowned British rock festival in Glastonbury, participated in the important Buddhist ceremony of the construction and destruction of sand Mandalas - a traditional Buddhist ritual as a symbol of the world's course. 


The oldest of the Gyuto monks is one of those monks who followed the Dalai Lama on his escape through the mountains of the Himalayas to India at the time of the occupation of Tibet by the Chinese Army in 1959. He has already worked in various projects with personalities such as actors Richard Gere and Harrison Ford, the composer Phillip Glass and Star Wars director George Lucas.

The album Chants -The Spirit of Tibet was produced by British musician Youth, who produced bands like U2, Erasure, Depeche Mode and The Verve and composed remixed versions.
Youth says about the music of the Gyuto Monks: "In their mystical chants, the monks express the essence of Tibetan tantric wisdom and the profound philosophy of the Dalai Lama. Their musical system is directed towards the achievement of an enlightened state of mind."
